SpecSeal SSB Series Firestop Pillows are designed for firestopping medium to large
openings and are well suited for applications involving data, communications, power
or control cables, innerducts and cable trays. This method of sealing offers easy
retrofitting of cable installations without the need to damage the firestop seal.
Difficult applications, such as application where access is restricted to one side of
the assembly, may be easily firestopped with this product.

The SpecSeal Composite Sheet is a lightweight, rigid, fire-resistant panel composed of
an intumescent layer bonded to a galvanized steel sheet reinforced with steel-wire
mesh covered with aluminum foil. Reduces large openings and can be combined with
other SpecSeal or EZ-Path Firestop products.
• Lighter weight for easy handling and fabrication and less hanging weight
on walls
• Less than 1/2 in. the thickness of the traditional composite sheet products
• Easier to fabricate as it can be cut and installed with common sheet metal tools
• Higher intumescence expanding up to 15 times when exposed to temperatures
in excess of 350F (177C)
